New Advances in Connectivity 09.11.2011
At Welcome Telecom we are very excited about some recent advances in the world of broadband connectivity and thought that we should share them with you:
Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC). This is the next step up in Internet connectivity from copper line based broadband, whereby fibre-optic connections are installed from the local exchange to the customer’s cabinet in the street. This is currently being rolled out throughout the UK, and will enable customers to experience speeds of up to 40Mb download, up to 10Mb upload – significantly faster than the current top ADSL2 speed of up to 24Mb download, up to2.5Mb upload. Contact us to find out if FTTC is currently available in your area.
Bonded ADSL2 . Does exactly what it says on the tin: by bonding two to four ADSL2 connections together, speeds of up to 96Mb download, up to 10Mb upload, can be achieved. How does it work? You simply need one PSTN line per ADSL2 connection (we can arrange installation of both line and broadband connection if required), and we can provide a router which will bond the connections together.
Either of these options can provide you with super-fast connectivity without the prohibitive installation and rental costs associated with more traditional leased line services. No wonder we're so excited about it!
