Number Porting

Are you moving office but concerned about losing your current telephone number? Do you still receive bills from another service provider just for your 0800 or 0845 number? Are you thinking of getting a new telephone system but are put off by the cost of extra lines, the system itself and any additional functionality required?

If the answer to any of these questions is yes, consider porting your numbers to Welcome Telecom.

Number porting enables a company to change service provider whilst retaining their existing number. Welcome Telecom offer two types of porting, Geographic (for 01xx and 02xx numbers) and Non-Geographic (08xx and 03xx numbers).

Companies choosing to make use of this facility can benefit in a number of ways by:

- Keeping their number when moving office, even if relocating to a different area;

- Receiving one bill for all telephony services (including 08xx numbers);

- Making use of the additional functionality available with Welcome Telecom's IP Telephony and/or My Inbound services. By choosing a hosted IP Telephony service there is no need to invest in expensive ISDN circuits, little additional hardware is required, and advanced funcionality (voicemail, divert on busy, call forwarding etc) is provided as standard.

It won't cost you anything to port a number to Welcome Telecom. Just give us a call or drop us an email letting us know what you'd like to achieve, and we'll sort everything out.

Access to reports to help you make the most of your resources (eg by advising you of your busiest times of day, you can ensure you have enough staff to cover the telephones)

Weatherproof your Business

Welcome Telecom has a number of products within its portfolio to enable flexible working and ensure that your business can continue to operate without a hitch, whatever the weather.

Hotdesking

Work from home or another location as if you were in the office, using the same number and keeping the same functionality (eg voicemail, internal dialling). If the bad weather gets too much for you, you could even take your number with you to sunnier climes!

Smart Routing

Point your incoming calls to any number you wish, or set up a hunt group to route incoming calls to different numbers (eg to the home numbers of snowbound staff). Your customers will not notice any difference as calls will be answered as normal. Change the terminating number at a click of a mouse, or ask Welcome Telecom to activate any changes for you.

Communicate with customers/staff

Give customers or employees a freephone number to ring. When dialled they will hear a recorded announcement (controlled by you) advising of incidents, office closures, etc. Alternatively, send an instant company-wide alert from your PC to thousands of mobile phones simultaneously using SMS Broadcast.

In the present economic climate it is natural to be thinking of saving money first and foremost, but by using Welcome Telecom's network, companies such as yourselves are actively reducing their carbon footprint at the same time!

If you would like to know how much carbon has been generated and offset by your own company, simply put in your average monthly minutes of telephony usage (you can find this under "Duration" in your monthly Site Summary) in the Green-o-Meter on the right.

Relocation, Relocation, Relocation

Are you looking to move office this year?  Are you concerned that you may not be able to keep your existing telephone number?

By utilising one of our high-quality IP Telephony services, rest assured that you should be able to retain your existing number, regardless of the area to which your company is relocating; even if you are moving halfway around the world!

National Presence

Wouldn't we all like to give the impression that we are bigger than we are?  Now you can.  IP Telephony enables you to have any UK number associated with your phone service that your customers can call you on.  So although your office may be physically based in Cornwall, you could have a London number routing through to that office.  One of our customers has recently taken advantage of this service by setting up 'ghost depots' in areas to which they are thinking of moving.   By looking at the inbound statistics for each site within the management reportsprovided by Welcome Telecom, the company was able to gauge the potential success of these new depots before going to the expense of setting up actual offices.

Do you want to have that holiday this year but worry that you'll be inaccessible to your customers?

Welcome Telecom may just be able to help you.  With IP Telephony, as long as you are connected to the Internet you can make and receive calls anywhere in the world just as if you were in your office - your customers would see the same phone number coming up on their display.
